The South Carolina Orchid Society (SCOS), an affiliate of the American Orchid Society, is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization. We welcome all individuals – – SCOS does not discriminate on the basis of age, color, disability, gender, national origin, political affiliation, sexual orientations, race, religion, or veteran status – – who delight in growing and enjoying orchids; SCOS The South Carolina Orchid Society has been inspiring orchid growers for more than 40 years by sharing a variety of information about orchids including culture, conservation, and hybridization. One way this is accomplished is through regular programs featuring the foremost speakers on orchid related topics. The Society also exhibits in several regional orchid shows each year. Our Mission is to educate and inform our members and the general public by promoting the culture, hybridization, and conservation of orchids.
