Mission Statement & Charitable Giving

The mission of the South Carolina Orchid Society (a federally- and state-registered 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization)  is to educate and inform our members and the general public by promoting the culture, hybridization, and conservation of orchids. This is accomplished by exhibiting orchids in regional orchid shows; supporting scientific research; presenting educational programs at regular meetings, orchid shows and special seminars; producing and distributing a regular newsletter; developing and maintaining an informative website; hosting an annual picnic & auction, and sponsoring tours of member’s greenhouses and trips to regional orchid vendor’s.
